On the cusp of turkey trimmings

Thanksgiving is in 2 days! And we'll celebrate for 3! Perfect excess...

In true cliche form, I AM thankful. Life has been pretty status quo - pretty boring, but we are blessed every day. That we get up, smile at each other, grumble about being tired, battle our toddler into clothes.

And we rest in our beds at night. CozY.

There's not much to say today. Just. I'm thankful. For all that life has offered me. I'm hoping I offer it back or even offer it first sometimes.

We'll focus on thanks for now. and leave Hope for the December holidays.

Broken hearted

I actually can't really say exactly what happened. It's the first time it's too painful to write.

But I will say this. She is as beautiful and as vibrant as ever. She is talking a mile a minute.
She blows kisses, gives hugs, pets the dog, says Mommy and Daddy and Grandma.

She is the light of my life. We live for her. I have never experienced this joy.

She is safe. She is home.

And we are never going back there.

for being happy every morning
for being a work in progress
for being loyal
for not making apologies about who you are
